Position Overview: Primrose School is seeking a passionate and experienced Education Coach to join our team. The Education Coach will play a vital role in supporting our mission to provide exceptional early childhood education. This role involves working closely with teachers and staff to promote best practices, implement our curriculum effectively, and maintain the highest standards of quality in our educational programs.
As an Education Coach your key responsibilities include:
Curriculum Development and Implementation:
Collaborate with teachers to ensure the effective implementation of the Primrose curriculum.
Develop and update lesson plans and teaching materials to align with educational goals.
Monitor classroom activities to ensure they meet the curriculum objectives and age-appropriate learning outcomes.
Teacher Training and Development:
Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to teachers, supporting their professional growth.
Conduct regular evaluations and assessments of teachers' performance, offering constructive feedback.
Organize training sessions, workshops, and seminars to enhance teachers' skills and knowledge.
Assessment and Data Analysis:
Oversee the assessment and progress tracking of students.
Analyze assessment data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies for student success.
Collaborate with teachers to develop individualized learning plans for students with unique needs.
Parent and Community Engagement:
Build strong relationships with parents and guardians, ensuring open communication regarding their child's development.
Organize parent-teacher conferences and meetings to discuss student progress and address concerns.
Represent Primrose School positively within the local community through outreach and events.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations governing early childhood education.
Monitor classroom environments for safety and cleanliness, ensuring they meet Primrose School's high standards.
Qualifications:
Candidates must have at least 60 Undergraduate Credit Hours with 6 Hours in Child Development or Early Childhood Education; or a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential OR Candidates must have 30 undergraduate Credit Hours with 6 hours in Early Childhood Education PLUS 1 year of experience (1560 hours).
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or related field preferred.
Minimum 1 Year of previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program preferred.
Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
Previous experience in a coaching or mentoring role within an educational setting.
Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, parents, and community members.
