    The Primrose School of Longmont (PSL) is looking for a qualified teacher for our Private Preschool.     Since our founding in 2007, the Primrose School of Longmont has been fortunate to employ and retain some of the best teachers in the area who have helped make us one of the premier schools in Boulder County. Our families love and appreciate our teachers and understand the important role they play in their children's lives. Our accredited, proprietary educational programs are for infants through private kindergarten and we also provide after school programs and online remote learning support for school age students.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    In the classroom the employee is responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children.

    Observes all rules and regulations at Primrose School of Longmont and the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children.

    Implements the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum and programming.

    Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence.

    Provides verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior.

    Accepts responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas and playgrounds.

    Maintains overall professional personal appearance adhering to the guidelines offered in the Primrose School of Longmont Employee Handbook.

    Assists in other capacities that Director, or designee, determines is necessary.

    Desired skills and experience:

    Must meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency

    Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program preferred

    Knowledge of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children

    Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. For Infant and Young Toddler teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib.

    Compensation and Benefits: Your rate of pay for this position will be commensurate with your experience. Your hours may vary each week. Hours and will be largely dependent on your availability to work and need in the school. It is quite possible for this to become a full-time position that would include a very competitive benefits package that includes paid holidays, paid vacations, subsidized health insurance and a retirement plan with company matching.
