Primrose School of Natick is hiring a Director of Education to oversee school-wide education, training and faculty professional development. This position will ensure adherence to our mission of bringing the best and most trusted early childhood education and child care services to families we serve. We are seeking an individual who is energetic, organized, a problem solver, and possesses great communication skills. This individual needs to be passionate about early childhood education and dedicated to the success of our next generation.
Primrose School of Natick is an accredited private preschool that provides a premier educational child care experience. We offer year-round programs for children from infant through elementary-aged school age.
Primary Responsibilities:
Passionately believes in and develops faculty on all aspects of the Primrose Balanced Learning® approach to teaching and learning
Has a strong working knowledge of EEC regulations and contributes to the overall mission and success of the school. Acts as a role model ensuring regulatory and health & safety compliance in classrooms
Responsible for ensuring Balanced Learning® curriculum implementation and delivery through a combination of training, observations, role modeling and providing timely feedback to faculty members
Oversees school-wide assessment and analysis of results, progress reports and parent teacher conferences
Coordinates with other members of the Leadership Team to implement the training plan for new faculty members and track professional development hours; takes ownership for ongoing professional development and developing professional development plans for faculty members
Ensures classroom equipment and faculty resources are maintained and classrooms are cared for in accordance with our service excellence assurance quality standards; upholds Cognia accreditation standards
Manages Education Coordinators
Holds budget responsibility for education and equipment supplies
As a member of the Leadership Team, contributes to the overall success of the school including but not limited to open and close, daily school operations, enrollment, marketing, campus environment and facilities
Desired skills and experience:
Lead Teacher Infant/Toddler/Preschool and Director II required
A degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or related field, and/or at least 5 years’ work experience in a licensed child care facility, kindergarten or early childhood program preferred
Experience with remote learning and has a desire to identify solutions and opportunities to promote distance learning as needed
Experience in management, business, and/or administration
Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations
