    As a Teacher at Primrose School of Rochester located at 2600 2nd Street SW Rochester, MN 55902 you will help young minds explore, discover, and understand the world around them. Primrose School of Rochester is an accredited private preschool that provides a premier educational child care experience. We offer year-round programs for children from infant through elementary-aged.

    We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to promote the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of each child, and to implement a proprietary curriculum created by a group of early education specialists. Teachers at Primrose School of Rochester work on a team of two to four staff members to conduct a circle time, small group lessons, hygiene and nutrition support, outdoor playtime, enrichment art, character development lessons, music class, and choice learning centers.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Is responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children and provides consistent expectations for the children's behavior.

    Implements the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum and programming.

    Assesses each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis.

    Forms trusted relationships with parents in order to have open and honest dialogue regarding each students' growth and opportunities for success.

    Accepts responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping to maintain an attractive, well-kept classroom.

    Attends all required staff meetings, workshops and/or school functions.

    Maintains overall professional personal appearance adhering to the guidelines offered in the Primrose School of Rochester Employee Handbook--professional bottoms paired with a Primrose Schools branded top and closed-toe shoes.

    Desired skills and experience:

    Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program or childcare experience in another capacity preferred

    Knowledge of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children

    A reliable, patient, and confident caregiver who celebrates the diversity of their students

    Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. For Infant and Young Toddler teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib.
