School of Round Rock at Forest Creek is a privately owned Advanced accredited school. We are looking for dependable and accountable Food Service Teacher to join our team as our school cook. Our private preschool serves children and infants through after-school care. We are currently looking for a qualified Preschool Kitchen Cook for our school. Our cook prepares breakfast, lunch, and all snacks from scratch for the 180 children at the school. The schedule for the position will be an 8-hour shift between 6 30AM and 3:30PM  with one hour lunch break. BENEFITS FOR PRESCHOOL KITCHEN COOK • Competitive pay • Health, vision, and dental insurance • Paid time off and paid holidays • Formal ongoing training program • Excellent advancement opportunities Responsibilities: • Is able to cook and present breakfast, lunch, and all snacks to a school of 180 children. • Follows the daily menu prepared in conjunction with the School Director. • Is able to implement changes to the menu when needed. • Assists with ordering food and can calculate the amount needed. • Maintains an orderly, clean, and safe kitchen area at all times, including the proper maintenance of equipment. • Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent • Previous professional experience highly preferred • Coachable - solution and detail-oriented • Competent and confident - strong organizational skills • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with using kitchen equipment Compensation: $11 - $13 hourly
