Primrose School of Willow Glen located at 1496 Hamilton Ave, San Jose, CA is looking for a part-time (20-30 hours) a week handyman and gardener. This position is currently part-time but has the potential to convert to full-time as soon as soon as we open our second school location in Cupertino, San Jose.Benefits: (Full-Time Regular Employees, min. 40 hours)

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Complete School Repair Service Tickets and log all assigned work orders accurately and in a timely fashion.

Resolve school electrical, plumbing, and appliance repairs, installations, service and replacements in a responsible and professional manner that meets industry standards as needed by the school, including:

Electrical circuits, receptacles, breakers, switches, and fuses Light Fixtures

Installation and minor repairs of appliances

Plumbing of Toilet, sinks, vanity, and disposals

Caulking

Carpentry repairs

Painting and drywall repairs

Cleaning drains and sewer lines up to 4”

Replacing ceiling tiles

Monthly and/or as needed Shampooing of carpets

Polishing floors as needed

Change HVAC filters

Window Cleaning, Salon front window

Power washing trash area and classroom trash cans

Basic electrical and computer-related work will be required.

Do weekly landscape and garden maintenance on the school property that meets industry standards and as needed by the school, including:

Maintain Artificial Turf Blow leaves from Playground and surroundings Till beds, plant, prune, weed, and water flower beds

Dig holes and plant trees and shrubs

Maintain and repair water irrigation system. Use of landscaping tools and machinery Maintain School Vegetable Garden Patch. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned to Garden and Grounds upkeep.

Must be legally authorized to work in US

Ok taking direction

Able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently

Ability to perform manual work, lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time

Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in various weather conditions

Related experience in landscaping, gardening, horticulture is a plus

Ability to use various apps and technology

Friendly and clear communicator

Organizational skills and attention to detail are critical
