As a Principal DevOps Engineer specializing in databases, you'll be a key member of the Database team. Your role will focus on:

1. Infrastructure Management:
   • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform (TFE)
   • Automate provisioning and configuration of database environments
2. Automation and Scripting:
   • Create and manage Python scripts, Ansible playbooks, Chef cookbooks, and AWS SSM Documents
   • Automate routine database management tasks
   • Develop, maintain, and optimize database automation frameworks and processes
3. CI/CD Pipeline Management:
   • Manage CI/CD pipelines, primarily using Jenkins or GitLab runners within GitLab CI/CD
   • Collaborate with DevOps and Infrastructure teams to integrate database automation with CI/CD pipelines
4. Performance Optimization:
   • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize database automation processes
   • Ensure high availability, performance, and security of database systems
5. Cloud Strategy and Standards:
   • Develop standards and procedures for Cloud Data Platforms
   • Contribute to Cloud strategy discussions and decisions
   • Provide expertise on Cloud design and implementation of Cloud Data solutions
6. Continuous Improvement:
   • Stay current with industry trends and technologies
   • Continuously improve automation processes
7. Best Practices and Project Leadership:
   • Adhere to best practices in Incident, Problem, and Change management
   • Lead projects independently with minimal guidance


Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• 8-10 years relevant experience
• Strong IaC experience (Terraform)
• Python scripting proficiency
• AWS Aurora Postgres and Oracle Database expertise
• AWS Cloud architecture knowledge
• CICD pipeline management experience
• Unix/Linux expertise
