About the Role

As a Principal Developer, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality solutions for SAP Logistics, focusing on S/4HANA implementations and development. You’ll design sustainable solutions, mentor junior developers, and contribute to the overall ERP transformation. This hybrid role allows for flexibility, with a preference for candidates based near Dallas, TX, or Fort Lauderdale, FL, who can work onsite as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of SAP S/4HANA logistics solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Develop and enhance SAP Fiori applications and interfaces for logistics processes.
• Research, troubleshoot, and configure software, ensuring compliance with architectural standards.
• Holistically design solutions to ensure sustainability and compatibility across the enterprise landscape.
• Serve as a technical leader on large-scale development projects, coordinating with business and IT stakeholders.
• Develop and execute test scripts, manage debugging efforts, and document technical solutions.
• Collaborate with third-party development teams and oversee code reviews to ensure adherence to standards.
• Analyze business requirements, drive technical designs, and develop architecturally compliant system landscapes.
• Lead Agile development processes, including Behavior-Driven Design (BDD) and user story development.
• Create and maintain technical and functional documentation, including training materials.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems, or related field.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 6 years in application development, with significant SAP S/4HANA implementation experience.
  • Proven experience in SAP Fiori development.
  • Expertise in SDLC processes, Agile methodologies, and SAP integration technologies (APIs, SAP PI, ESB).
  • Strong coding and technical design skills, with proficiency in leading languages (e.g., ABAP, Python).
  • Extensive experience working on large, complex ERP projects.
  • Deep understanding of logistics processes within SAP solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Wholesale, distribution, or CPG industry experience.
• Experience managing offshore development teams.
• Expertise in evaluating and improving code quality and standards.
• Knowledge of Tableau and data analytics tools is a plus.
