High-impact design ownership across a large, live-service platform

Fast iteration environment with strong cross-disciplinary partnership

    Role Overview

We are hiring Principal Game Designers to solve high-level engagement challenges across a flagship live-service multiplayer ecosystem. This role focuses on evolving established engagement structures (e.g., quests, passes, progression, rewards) and inventing new systems that guide experience, mastery, and long-term participation.

You will set vision across cross-functional teams, ensure engagement systems support long-term health, and drive rapid iteration—prototype, ship, learn, and refine.

    Responsibilities

Craft meaningful goals that grow exposure, experience, and mastery of new and existing gameplay mechanics.

Lead innovation for engagement systems, including progression loops, rewards, and frameworks aligned to engagement metrics.

Define and communicate a clear experience vision across multiple internal teams and disciplines.

Partner with product and marketing teams to support satisfaction, ecosystem health, and growth-driving activations.

Drive iterative live design: prototype quickly, ship improvements, analyze outcomes, and iterate fast.

    Requirements

10+ years shipping multiple titles as a game designer.

Deep experience building engagement content or goal-based progression systems in live-service multiplayer environments.

Demonstrated ability to empathize with players and translate motivations into durable systems and goals.

Strong understanding of what drives engagement and long-term participation in multiplayer ecosystems.

Ability to adapt quickly to shifting needs, make decisions, and own the vision end-to-end.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).

Player-focused, solutions-driven, innovative, and decisive working style.

    This is a remote position.
