    As a Principal Product Management leading Targeting and Personalization product development on our Commerce team, the role holder will conceive, define, design, develop, test, and launch highly effective platform capabilities that will enhance broader Commerce customer journeys in partnership with Engineering, Data Science, Marketing and wider Product teams.

    The Targeting & Personalization domains within Commerce are growing, with a focus on delivering seamless, tailored customer experiences that feel relevant to every user – supporting commerce goals across onboarding, upgrades and reducing cancellations and churn.

    The role holder will need to balance building more tactical executions driving immediate value leveraging existing capabilities alongside unlocking longer term opportunities through strategic capability development.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Translate the strategy into a prioritized roadmap for targeted and personalized components that will deliver improved customer experiences and commerce outcomes.

    • Use data insights and stakeholder intelligence to drive prioritization, hypotheses, and product plans.

    • Socialize and evangelize the strategy and roadmap to stakeholders at every level of the organization. Be an expert in your product’s insights and KPIs.

    • Collaborate with other product leads, designers, and engineers to successfully deliver products to market with your team with a focus on measurable outcomes and consistent optimization.

    • Produce high-quality requirements, strategies and work product. Push relentlessly for quality while meeting aggressive deadlines.

    • Work closely with Architects and Engineers to translate requirements into a viable technical and business architecture

    • Plan and build scalable and extensible products and tools.

    • Work in collaboration with the Data Science and marketing partners to deliver consistent customer strategies.

    • Partner closely with Marketing and Content Personalization organizations to align a 360 view of the customer to driven seamless experience across channels

    Essential Skills & Attributes

    • You are an experienced product owner with a proven track-record of end-to-end ownership and delivery of consumer facing and technical products — in particular, success leading digital strategies for commerce experience targeting/personalization at a global scale.

    • You have experience leading cross functional teams and working groups, keeping alignment across different disciplines and maintaining focus on the key outcomes

    • You can navigate multi-layered, matrixed organizations through your deft communication, attention to detail, systems thinking and relationship building. You are creative in driving teams to deliver, influencing leadership and you believe building rapport and earning trust is an important investment in success.

    • You enjoy thinking big and crafting visions but have the technical know-how to talk architecture and to creatively solve delivery challenges on execution of the vision

    • You have relentlessly high standards, deep operational knowledge, and expertise in every aspect of digital product development and e-commerce.

    • You have an established set of product development best practices, and your own experience-based methods to define roadmaps and requirements.

    • You have conversant in OKRs and/or KPIs to define the success of your products. You are comfortable in data analysis and finding the right metrics to measure and move. You are on a constant hunt for the next insight to drive roadmap prioritization.

    • You are a strong communicator, able to articulate your point-of-view, engage in fact- based discourse, collaborate, compromise, and bridge gaps.

    • You are resilient — focused, driven, and the natural owner of both big ideas and practical daily output — and feel most at home in a fast-paced, iterative, and collaborative environment.

    • Robust prioritization skills that enable you to work on multiple initiatives and pivot from one project to another.

    • You have the technical acumen to recommend and execute high caliber products but the humility and partnership orientation to collaborate closely with engineering and data science leaders to define and deliver solutions.

    **Essential Knowledge & Experience **

    • Minimum 5 years driving a product roadmap of targeting/personalization capabilities, with a focus on strategizing, testing, developing, delivering, and scaling, preferably in a commerce driven organization.

    • Minimum 5 years working side-by-side with engineers, writing requirements/use cases and directing their priorities.

    • Adept at working with data and data science teams to personalise and optimise journeys, offers and communications

    • Fluency defining customer problems, identifying hypotheses, and prioritizing a product backlog.

    • Exemplary understanding of systems design, technical architecture and scalable product development.

    • Confident in articulating and presenting Product Strategies to influence key stakeholders and gain alignment across functions

    • Close familiarity with common project / product management tools such as Figma, Miro, Jira, Confluence, Airtable and Slack.

    • Experience working in an agile software development environment

    **Desirable Knowledge & Experience **

    • Experience in tools such as:

      • Optimizely

      • MParticle

      • Braze

    • No coding experience essential, but basic or higher understanding of CSS and JavaScript beneficial
