OVERVIEW: The DTG Machine Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient and continuous operation of the Kornit printer used in Direct to Garment printing. At the Trainer level, the operator is also expected to train new printers and assist the training team in supporting further development of more seasoned staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform all responsibilities of Machine Operator Level 1
• Multi-task with 2 to 4 (non-Atlas) machines while maintaining high attention to detail and quality output. 
• Proficient operation of the Atlas printer.
• Maintain equipment and make sure they are set up properly, working well, and producing a quality product throughout your shift. 
• Work as a team with other operators to ensure machines are running efficiently during your shift.
• Able to follow instructions and production schedules as well as adhere to all standard operating procedures and meet the expected production goals.  
• Able to think critically and solve basic mechanical or software problems with machines that may be malfunctioning.
• Load, position, and adjust unprinted materials in equipment loading and feeding mechanisms and also unload properly to maintain quality of product before curing.
• Clean and lubricate printing machines and components, using oil, solvents, brushes, rags, and tools provided.
• Maintain all auxiliary tools and devices that are provided in the process of operating at your work station.
• Ensure Lesson Plans and SOPs are followed to maintain standards across all shifts.
• Collecting and maintaining training documentation for employee records (for classroom training)
• Evaluating employee capability for job role fit
• Grading tests when necessary for training programs 
• Reporting any inappropriate or unacceptable behavior from trainees to the Training Coordinator or the Operations Manager 
• Assisting and monitoring for proper clock-ins/outs for trainees during the training period
• Perform other duties as assigned.
