    The story of Printful

    OVERVIEW:

    At Printful, the Quality Control Specialist conducts audits of digital print production to ensure company standards are maintained and product integrity is preserved. QC Specialists consult with management on a regular basis to report quality issues. They focus on decreasing both the reshipment and damage rates. QC Specialists also support quality control workstations with basic troubleshooting of tools and resupply of general needs.

    HOURS: MONDAY, TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY 6A-6P

    HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO EACH DAY AT PRINTFUL:

    • Performing Quality Control Reviews, in which the employee will actively check all items held by Quality Control Associates. 

      • Confirming that items are being held for the appropriate damage reasons and holding the correct production employee responsible for the damage. 
      • Confirming that items are in poor enough condition to be completely damaged out or putting them back into production for completion if passable. 
      • Conferring with Quality Control Associates on repeated incorrect holds and coaching on improved performance of holds.

       

    • Completing shirt “spiffing” to remove small or manageable damages to save garments. 

      • Using the appropriate chemical at a spiff station to remove unwanted ink or stains in an attempt to put minorly damaged garments back into production. 
      • Creating the proper chemical solution to be used for spiffing. 
      • Wearing the appropriate PPE while completing the spiffing process.

       

    • Troubleshooting technological issues. 

      • Assisting Quality Control associates with any connectivity or display issues at their stations. 
      • Reporting any continuous errors to Supervisor or Technicians for review.
    • Ensuring stations are properly stocked during operation. 

      • Providing Quality Control Associates with the necessary materials (damage markers, lint rollers, etc.) during the shift to prevent unnecessary station absence.

       

    • Assists with lower-level duties to fill Production gaps.

    • Other ad hoc duties as necessary as assigned by the QC Supervisor or Shift Lead.
