    Part-time, Flexible Hours

    Overview:

    What a great place to continue your HR career - in a growing company where every day presents new opportunities to learn and grow! Our Human Resources department is growing and we require an eager clerk who will have administrative responsibilities, helping maintain accurate record-keeping and perform various administrative Human Resources related tasks.

    Our current facility is located in Chatsworth, but as we grow, we're moving to a new, larger facility, in Valencia. During the move, you'll work closely with our teams and should be able to commute between both locations.

    WHEN YOU COME TO WORK, YOU'LL:

    • Answer calls and emails for the HR department.
    • Handle employment application intakes.
    • Perform HRIS data entry and personnel file maintenance.
    • Assist employees and supervisors with the basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
    • Assist with the onboarding process. 
    • Assist with new-employee orientations.
    • Maintain employee information by entering and updating employment and status-change data.
    • Assist in payroll preparation by entering relevant data (absences, bonus, leaves, etc)
    • Audit and adjust employee timesheet discrepancies.
    • Prepare job descriptions.
    • Respond to reference checks and verifications of employment status.
    • Assist the manager with HR projects.
    • Assist with benefits administration.
    • Coordinate culture committee meetings.

    THERE ARE SOME MUST HAVES:

    • High School Diploma or Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or a related field
    • Additional HR training or experience is a plus
    • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
    • Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies
    • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, HRIS systems, and comfortable learning new technology systems as needed

    PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

    • Proven experience working in an HR department
    • Natural interpersonal and communication skills
    • Strong detail-oriented and resourceful mindset
    • Knowledge of Workday a plus
    • Knowledge of HR federal laws and regulations
    • HR certification is a plus
    • Bilingual a plus
