We are hiring an IT technician to support our Chatsworth facility with the day-to-day of troubleshooting technology issues, installing and updating software and IT related equipment, and assisting with the general IT infrastructure under the direction of the IT Admin and the Global team.
THE BASICS:
The primary role of the IT Technician is to assist in ensuring a smooth operation of the company's IT infrastructure; including maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting our internal software, computers, and mobile devices.
WORK SCHEDULE: GENERALLY MON-FRI DAYTIME - BUT WILL REQUIRE FLEXIBILITY BASED ON THE BUSINESS NEED.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To ensure maintenance and monitoring of IT infrastructure associated with the company;
- To inspect and analyze IT infrastructure and its functioning on regular basis;
- To assign information system access rights to users and maintain user accounts;
- To assess the necessity to improve, replenish and improve the existing IT infrastructure;
- To inform management about necessary improvements and development of IT infrastructure;
- To participate in the company development projects, providing assistance within the framework of own competence;
- To consult system users and other employees involved in processes on technical processes and solutions;
- To have knowledge of the software that is required for work;
- To prepare and submit regular (upon request) and extraordinary reports to the management on the functioning of IT infrastructure (load risks, accidents, etc.) and planned procurements;
- To engage in and provide support in the elimination of system malfunctions and damages along with identification of problem causes;
- To comply with occupational safety and internal requirements on work premises;
- To develop and implement information system security policy, ensure antivirus protection and install firewalls as needed;
- Inform direct manager, subordinates, and leadership when technical problems arise;
- Ensure forbidden or unlicensed software is not installed on the computer equipment entrusted to employees (including servers and other units of equipment);
- Ensure no unauthorized access to information stored on data carriers and servers entrusted to employees;
- To perform other additional duties in relation to the main functions of the job, upon the direct manager's instructions.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A+, Networking Certifications
- 2+ years general IT troubleshooting, networking , and software upgrades
- AS in Computer Science, or equivalent
- Knowledge of IT networks and protocols
- Experience with MacOS/iOS devices
- Experience with label printers such as Zebra
- Experience with G Suite
