Priority Caregiver | Priority Care Team | St. Louis County & Surrounding Areas

Executive Home Care is building a small, trusted team of caregivers for moments when families unexpectedly need us most.

As a Priority Caregiver with our Priority Care Team, you’ll step in to support older adults and families during short-notice care needs, schedule changes, hospital transitions, or unexpected gaps in care — providing thoughtful, relationship-centered support when it matters most.

This role is intentionally designed for caregivers who value meaningful work without a fixed weekly schedule and appreciate the flexibility to choose shifts that fit their lifestyle.

Who This Role Is Perfect For

This role may be a great fit for someone who:

Wants meaningful caregiving work without guaranteed weekly hours

Is semi-retired or retired from healthcare

Already works PRN or part-time and wants occasional additional shifts

Wants the freedom and flexibility to choose when they work

Enjoys variety and feels comfortable stepping into new environments

Is dependable, responsive, and calm under changing circumstances

Finds purpose in helping families during moments of unexpected need

Please Note: This role is best suited for caregivers seeking flexibility rather than a predictable weekly schedule. Occasional same-day urgent coverage opportunities may include an additional shift incentive for caregivers able to step in on short notice.

    Benefits

Competitive Compensation: $21–23/hour based on experience

Flexible Scheduling: Choose shifts that fit your lifestyle and availability

Meaningful Work: Build genuine relationships while making a real difference in the lives of older adults and families

Supportive Team Environment: Work alongside a leadership team that values communication, trust, and caregiver support

Professional Growth: Ongoing education and development opportunities

Shift Variety: Opportunities ranging from companionship visits to more hands-on support, with shifts typically ranging from 4–12 hours

Referral Opportunities: Incentives for referring exceptional caregivers

Assist with personal care, mobility, cueing, and activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed

Accompany clients to appointments or activities when appropriate

Observe and communicate changes in condition, behavior, or needs to the care team

Help create a calm, safe, and supportive environment for clients and families
