On-Site In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the in-house payroll process and employee benefits programs. Assist with day-to-day functions of the Payroll/HR department. Assist with the processing of the bi-weekly payroll: including reviewing data entry for salary changes, withholdings, various voluntary and involuntary deductions, job titles and program transfers for accuracy. 2-Days In Office* (9 A.M. - 5 P.M. OR 10 A.M. - 6 P.M.) Location: Melville, NY Responsibilities: • Ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll and timekeeping, including compensation, garnishments, taxes, and deductions • Provide accurate and timely responses to employee’s payroll related inquiries • Maintain employee files and update employee information, including state/local tax liabilities, address changes, and all pertinent W2 information • Generate reports for payroll processing and reporting, including for Payroll-Based Journal and GL and labor budget reporting • Maintain info and generate reporting for FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act), ACA (Affordable Care Act), 401(k) plans, Workers’ Compensation, and OSHA reporting • Complete reporting and payment of weekly, quarterly, and year-end taxes • Follow up with managers on timecard questions and missing information on the timecards • Assist with time tracking and time off benefit • Process new hire paperwork, insurance applications, and enrollment forms Qualifications: • Strong experience with the use of ADP • A minimum of 3 years of ADP or other Payroll system experience is required • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • BA and/or background in the Human Resources field preferred • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, with Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills required Compensation: $40,000 - $45,000
