  • Responsibilities

    The HR Assistant will assist with all aspects of recruiting and staffing for the accounts in the assigned region. The HR Assistant will have strong communication skills and be able to handle all aspects of assisting the Account Managers with the day to duties of hiring and on-boarding. This position will require minimal travel (Up to 25% of the workweek) to visit client worksites to conduct onboarding, recruitment and attend to employee needs, etc. Candidate should be flexible with hours. However, the position will typically be Monday through Friday. 8:00am to 3:00pm.

    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

    Education: High school diploma required or GED.

    Experience:

    One to three years working with the public is preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar and comfortable with a computer.

    General Duties

    7.    Prioritizes work in order to allow for changes in day or assignment so work is completed within the assigned time frame.

    8.    Serves as a role model for the department that is reflective of the philosophy of the organization and the department.

    9.    Cooperates and collaborates with peers so that work can be conducted in an efficient and effective manner.

    10.    Assists with required orientation of new employees to the unit.

    11.    Follows appropriate channels for reporting concerns, complaints, and/or problems.

    Competencies:

    1.    Responsible for assisting with advertising open positions and open interviews at various locations in order to provide sufficient employee base to clients. To include posting positions on social networking sites and Illinois Job Link.

    2.    Assist with onsite recruitment and orientations. Conduct on-site visits when necessary and/or scheduled.

    3.    Assist with the review and evaluation of application data to narrow down a candidate pool.

    4.    Assists with conducting all relevant testing for prospective employees which includes but is not limited to: drug testing, conduct testing, criminal background screening and any other screening requested by client.

    5.    Maintain a valid driver's license for mandatory travel.

    6.    Maintain all pertinent employee information in AVIONTE. To include but not limited to: interview notes, personnel information, updated I9 information, tax information, work and termination history, etc.

    7.    Responsible for noting all employee interactions in appropriate places and notifying additional personnel (inside and outside the organization) when needed

    8.    Assists with maintaining the sign in the front of the building where we advertise for candidates.

    9.    Assists with data clean up, audits and administration.

    10.    Serves as back up for the Front Office Coordinator.

    11.    Assists other staff where necessary.
