    Job Title: Expert Software Developer

    Location: Albany, NY – Onsite

    Hourly Rate: $50 - $55

    Grants Management System: The grants bureau has been using an out of date grants warehouse to store data related to grants and applicants. The system must be updated as support is discontinued, and the system is failing. In addition to a new warehouse, the system must be integrated with the grants gateway application as the parks team uses the system for grants management.

    Revenue Application: This project will redesign and re-engineer then current Revenue Application System at OPRHP using modern and supported hardware and software platforms, consolidating common system processes, and leveraging automation to streamline the business process.

    Qualifications:

    • Software Developer Expertise: Involved in all facets of the software development process, including research, design, programming, testing, and implementation of computer software.
    • Expert Level (84+ Months): Capable of providing guidance to large teams and/or possesses extensive industry experience, considered at the top of the field.
    • Technical Experience (84 Months): 84 months developing complex business systems using the Microsoft .NET Framework, including ASP.NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, C#, and Entity Framework. 84 months developing complex business systems using the .NET Web API. 84 months developing REST web services, utilizing HATEOAS architecture for REST implementation. 84 months experience consuming and displaying data retrieved from REST services in a web-based business application.
    • Project Experience (24 Months): 24 months working on projects for the public sector/government.

    Day-to-Day Tasks:

    The Expert Software Developer will be primarily responsible for the following tasks on the Grants & Revenue projects:

    • Develop .NET components, REST services, SQL server database scripts, and stored procedures based on design specifications.
    • Contribute to the full software development life cycle, from design to implementation.
    • Collaborate with the project team to ensure alignment with project goals and requirements.
