    Location: Preakness Healthcare Center, 305 Oldham Rd, Wayne, NJ 07470

    Hourly Wage: $40 to $45

    Job Type: Per Diem

    Position Overview:

    Quality Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. The COTA will collaborate with Occupational Therapists to deliver high-quality occupational therapy services to our patients.

    Responsibilities:

    Therapy Implementation:

    • Implementing occupational therapy treatment plans under the direction of Occupational Therapists.
    • Conducting therapeutic exercises and activities to improve patients' functional abilities.

    Patient Assistance and Support:

    • Assisting patients in performing prescribed therapy exercises and activities.
    • Using adaptive equipment and techniques to support patients' independence in daily activities.

    Progress Monitoring and Documentation:

    • Monitoring patients' responses to therapy and reporting observations to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
    • Maintaining accurate and detailed documentation of patient progress and treatment plans.Patient Education and Communication:
    • Providing instructions and guidance to patients and their families on therapy exercises and techniques.
    • Collaborating with healthcare professionals and caregivers to ensure effective therapy delivery.

    Requirements:

    • Valid New Jersey Licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is required
    • Compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations including those set by the New Jersey Department of Health, Office of Inspector General, Medicaid/Medicare, Corporate Compliance, PEOSHA, and Priority Group Services Policies and Procedures.
    • Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
    • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
    • Proficiency in implementing occupational therapy techniques and exercises.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in an occupational therapy environment.
    • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems.
    • Additional certifications or specialized training related to occupational therapy.
