    Qualification

    • 1-year LMSW experience

    • State License

    • Covid Vaccination

    • Clean Background Check and clean drug screen

    • Primary Source Verification required

    • PSYCHIATRIC/BEHAVIORAL

    • A Social Work License (LMSW) issued by the New York Department of Education.

    Educational Level:

    • A master’s degree from an accredited graduate school of social work.

    Knowledgeable In:

    • Hospital and community resources.

    • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations

    • Medicare, Medicaid, and discharge planning regulations.

    • Substance Use/Abuse: behaviors, interventions, and resources.

    • Child Abuse and Neglect: how to identify and report.

    • Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault/Rape, and Elder Abuse, Human Trafficking: intervention techniques and resources.

    • Suicide prevention and treatment process.

    Skills:

    • Interviews patient/family members/significant others in order to obtain pertinent psychosocial information and develop an appropriate social work/discharge plan.

    • Analyzes situations, identify problems, evaluates solutions, and implements an appropriate course of action based on the psychosocial and psychiatric data.

    • Knowledge of social work techniques for working with individuals, groups, and families.

    • Communicates effectively with patient/family members/significant others, supervisor, and the interdisciplinary team.

    • Documents all interventions and treatment plans in the patient’s medical record in a clear, concise, and legible manner. Utilizing proper error correction if necessary.

    • Establishes priorities and accomplishes multiple tasks.

    • Understanding the impact of the disease process on psychosocial functioning.

    • Ability to share knowledge and information with each other.
