Temporary - 12 to 15 month assignment
Hours: 8:30-5:00 / M-F
Regular Duties :
- Provide expert payroll tax guidance and ongoing training to Associate and Analyst team members of varying skill levels
- Review and authorize tax payments
- Review and sign off in-house tax filings
- Utilize Lawson, ADP SmartCompliance, and GL Accounting knowledge to review and submit bi-weekly payroll tax payments
- Perform Quarter End and Year End activities, including, but not limited to:
- Review and sign off quarterly reconciliations, tax returns, amendments
- BLS Reporting
- Lawson US & Canada routine and year end updates
- W-2 and T-4 review and issuance (approx. 550,000), with assistance from the Payroll Tax Manager
- Partner with other teams to process adjustments related to imputed income, equity plans, relocation files, and HR moves
- Partner with other teams to provide payroll data as needed for audits or tax incentives
- Respond to high-level/escalated email inquiries from the field to resolve payroll tax concerns
- Stay current on new and upcoming payroll and payroll tax legislation
Required Skills :
- Multi-state US and Canada provincial payroll tax experience , including payment, filing, and reconciliation
- Experience in a large, multi-entity corporate environment
- Current knowledge of federal, state, & local payroll tax regulations for the continental US
- ADP SmartCompliance experience or equivalent ADP tax filing product
- Infor Lawson & BSI TaxFactory experience
- Knowledge of and experience with General Ledger accounting
Preferred Skills :
- FPC/CPP certification or other evidence of up-to-date payroll knowledge
- CICPlus/PaperlessEmployee/Experian experience
- National Payments/Doculivery experience
