    Job Description

    Experiencing warm and engaging service in luxurious surroundings at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. As Assistant General Manager – Privado Villas, the strategic support and leadership you provide to your team will ensure exceptional service standards, maximized operating results and memorable guest experiences. The Privado Villas at The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess is our newly imagined ultra-luxe “hotel within a hotel” (124 Rooms) located within the grounds of the iconic AAA Five-Diamond Fairmont Scottsdale Princess.

    Reporting to the Privado General Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

    • Ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day delivery of the guest experience, coordinating the implementation of and enhancement to highest standards of guest service with a major focus on AAA Five-Diamond Service Standards
    • Provide guests with flawless, proactive and sincere service from an engaged and empowered workforce committed to creating memorable experiences
    • Build rapport with VIP guests, ALL Accor loyalty members and distinguished visitors
    • Lead and manage all aspects of the Privado Villas with major focus on Front Office, Concierge, Guest Services, F&B and Housekeeping, ensuring all service standards are followed
    • Ensure that monthly financial outlooks are accurate and that financial results exceed targets
    • Handle guest concerns and react quickly, logging and notifying proper areas
    • Attend and participate in regularly scheduled departmental/divisional meetings
    • Manage inventory and procurement for Privado Food & Beverage and Front Office
    • Balance operational, administrative and colleague needs
    • Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
    • Follow department policies, procedures and service standards
    • Follow all safety policies
    • Network within our industry, keeping up to date with future trends and opportunities
    • Hire, Coach and mentor colleagues. Create an environment that allows colleagues to exceed guest expectations and provide a path for career development with Fairmont Hotels and Resorts
    • Seek feedback and follow-up on guest comments to achieve the targeted guest satisfaction scores. Utilize the TrustYou guest feedback platform to analyze trends, eliminate issues, and prevent problems
    • Create the weekly schedule ensuring adherence to labor standards
    • Screen, interview and onboard new colleagues within the department
    • Effectively utilize ALICE platform to input guest requests, recoveries, itineraries and log defects
    • Actively participate in the strategic planning and ongoing development of Privado, including revenue forecasting, ensuring the delivery of our environment commitments, and overseeing the health, safety and security of our guests and colleagues
    • Other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 4+ years previous leadership experience in a luxury hotel environment preferably within the Rooms Division, and within a Four or Five-Diamond environment
    • Knowledge and experience within Housekeeping, Front Desk and Guest Services required
    • Must possess a professional presentation and adhere to Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Grooming Guidelines
    • A successful and proven track record of previously managing and developing managers and hourly colleagues
    • Proven record to coordinate multiple departments to make gains towards targeted budget, GOP, and Employee Engagement results
    • Knowledge and confidence in building strong relationships, interacting and influencing others at all levels of the organization
    • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
    • Highly responsible and reliable
    • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
    • Flexible schedule required
    • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, always remaining calm and courteous
    • Computer literacy a must, with a strong knowledge of Opera and Microsoft Office
    • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in written form to all levels of Management and line professionals
    • Previous experience in a middle management role required
    • Colleague degree in a hospitality-related field a plus
