Private Duty Caregiver CNA HHA
Assisting Hands Home Care is hiring private duty caregivers, CNAs, and HHAs to help seniors and adults remain safe and comfortable at home.
This is a W2 employee position. It is not a 1099 contractor role or registry position.
Private duty home care is personal work. You are not running from room to room in a facility. You are helping one client at a time with the daily support they need to stay in their home.
We are a local, family owned home care agency operated by a husband and wife team. We are looking for caregivers who take pride in being dependable, professional, and kind.
Pay is typically $16 to $18 dollars per hour for most cases. Higher rates may be available for select assignments based on client needs, schedule, location, and case complexity.
What makes this role different
You provide one on one care in a client home
You are hired as a W2 employee, not an independent contractor
You have office support when questions or issues come up
You receive clear client information before starting a case
You can be matched with cases based on your skills, availability, client needs, and reasonable travel distance
You may have access to weekday, weekend, daytime, evening, and some overnight shifts
Minimum 4 hour shifts are available, with longer 8 hour and 12 hour shifts depending on client needs
Same day pay access is available through TapCheck
Direct deposit and referral bonuses are available
What private duty caregivers do Your job is to help clients with the daily activities that allow them to remain safe, clean, comfortable, and supported at home. Common responsibilities include:
Personal care such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Transfer and mobility assistance
Meal preparation
Light housekeeping related to the client
Medication reminders
Companionship and conversation
Help with errands or appointments when included in the care plan
Clear communication with the office about changes, concerns, or schedule issues
Every client is different. Some clients need hands on care. Others need supervision, reminders, companionship, or help around the home. We work to place caregivers on cases that fit their experience, availability, and comfort level whenever possible.
This is home care, so the work takes place in client homes rather than one fixed location. A good fit for this role is someone comfortable traveling to different client homes within a reasonable local service area.
Who we are looking for This role is best for caregivers who are reliable, calm, and professional. Clients and families depend on caregivers to arrive on time, communicate clearly, follow the care plan, and treat the home with respect.
If you enjoy building trust with clients and doing steady, meaningful care work, private duty home care may be a strong fit.
