This position is for private pay, direct care for 1 patient. $1,000 Signing Bonus*. Join a team of professionals who are responsible for 24 hour care. 7 days a week for a sweet, gentle, petite lady who has early onset, advanced dementia. The patient splits time between a home on the coast with ocean view and direct beach access and a home in Palo Alto. Staff perform work in 8 hour shifts. 1 person per shift must handle the 6 Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and 5 of the Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs). Job Requirements: Fluent in Spanish Have Current Home Health Aide License with the State of California (or CNA or LVN) Have optimal physical health and ability. Outdoor walks for 1 hour a day with patient required. Fast physical response where needed for agile patient. Be flexible and able to report to one of 2 locations depending on where the patient will be that day. Ability to follow all routines, provide all aspects of care and support, document and chart all aspects of care, continuously during course of shift. Flexible. Ability to adapt as needed. Ability to provide care and attention during the entire shift. Sign and abide by Non-Disclosure Agreement. Able to pass background check Have Clean Driving Record. Current CPR E-Verify to confirm work authorization with both the Social Security Administration and the Department of Homeland Security Staff members are under continuous Interior and exterior surveillance while on duty. - (Flight Attendant, Gate Agent Staff or Military with direct personal background working with Dementia in home setting will be considered without Home Health Aide License but must obtain Home Health Aide License within first 60 days of employment and must have clear background prior to being employed. ) Schedules 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. 11PM -7:00 a.m. potential rotating shift, work weekends depending on schedule availability. Shift - *Sign-On Bonus paid out as follows - 50% after 90 days, 50% after 6 months You must have perfect attendance for the signing bonus to be paid.
