    Private Equity Attorney (Boston)

    Direct Counsel is seeking a Private Equity Attorney to join a prestigious Am Law 100 firm in Boston, MA. This position is part of the firm’s Professional Track Attorney program , offering attorneys the opportunity to work on high-profile client matters across cutting-edge practices, industries, and borders.

    Summary

    This role involves transactional work within the firm’s Private Equity practice , where the attorney will play a key role in M &A due diligence, leveraged buyout transactions, equity grants, and corporate governance matters. Strong performance in this role can lead to promotion opportunities and additional exposure to varied client engagements.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Conduct due diligence for M&A transactions.
    • Support leveraged buyout transactions in all facets.
    • Advise clients on equity grants and corporate governance matters.
    • Analyze complex legal issues and apply legal principles to specific client matters.
    • Provide timely and well-reasoned work product under deadlines.
    • Maintain availability to meet client and firm expectations, including during evenings and weekends as needed.
    • Collaborate with partners, clients, and colleagues across various practice groups.

    Qualifications

    • JD degree from an accredited law school.
    • Admission to the Massachusetts bar is required.
    • Minimum of 3 years of transactional law experience.
    • Experience at an Am Law 100 firm or with the SEC is preferred.

    Work Environment & Compensation

    • Hybrid work model with in-office expectations.
    • Salary range: $151,315 - $378,685 per year , based on experience and geographic market.
