Job Description

We are seeking a candidate to fill the position of Laboratory Data Entry (Lab Accessioner) to join our team! You will be responsible the following duties:

• Organize bodily fluid samples from patients
• Enter patient demographic and testing information into Laboratory Information System (LIS)
• Labels specimens using labels produced by LIS
• Maintain a clean work environment
• Knowledge of medical and laboratory terminology and specimen processing procedures and equipment will be helpful
• Reliable and dependable attendance is an essential function of the position.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• May be responsible for various support activities, as needed
• Shift Schedule: Monday through Friday 5:30pm - 11:00pm

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not required
• Previous experience in a lab or in other related fields is a plus, but not required
• Familiarity with common medical terminology is a plus
• Experience in a laboratory setting is a plus
• Strong organizational skills
• Works well in a team environment
• Participates in improving lab efficiency, quality and cooperation
