    Job Description

    Pro Floor Care, a division under Federal Resources Corporation is currently seeking to fulfill a second-shift, full-time ASSISTANT OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR position in Erie, PA. We are looking to staff our team with exceptional janitorial workers exhibiting superior customer service skills who are willing to grow within our company. We provide a wide range of services including general office cleaning, carpet care, floor care, limited window cleaning and exterior building maintenance.

    Primary schedule is MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY, 1PM 9PM with potential for weekend work and overtime as needed.

    Please note some locations require successful completion of a background check and drug screen.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Reports directly to and receives daily instruction from the Operations Supervisor.
    • Work directly with Janitorial Staff to assist with standard cleaning duties in order to meet customer expectations at each location.
    • Duties include but are not limited to performing a combination of dusting furniture, walls, fixtures, or equipment; sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, waxing, or buffing floors; removing refuse; polishing furniture, fixtures, or trimmings, cleaning lavatories, showers, or rest rooms.
    • Maintains premises, rest and working areas of offices and industrial buildings in clean and orderly condition.
    • Properly determine appropriate supplies needed to successfully accomplish required tasks and effectively utilize supplies in completion of assigned duties.
    • Operate hand and power tools and equipment used in performing the work.
    • Performing routine maintenance activities and notifying management of need for repairs or additions to building operating systems.
    • Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
    • Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.
    • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

    • Previous supervisory experience.
    • Ability to delegate job tasks and responsibilities to Janitorial Staff based on location and customer expectations.
    • Ability to professionally respond to challenges that may arise.
    • Knowledge of standard methods, practices, tools, and equipment of the janitorial service.
    • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety rules.
    • Ability to follow instructions.
    • Ability to operate and use janitorial tools, equipment, and supplies such as but not limited to floor buffers, vacuum cleaners, and cleaning compounds and solutions.
    • Ability to effectively and efficiently perform and complete assigned duties under minimal supervision.
    • Valid Pennsylvania driver's license or valid Pennsylvania photo identification card.
    • Reliable transportation to and from headquarters location and various job sites.
    • Ability to work second-shift.
    • Sufficient ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate clearly in English to complete work efficiently and effectively.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Prolonged periods of walking and frequent standing, pulling, pushing, and bending with occasional sitting.
    • Requires handling, lifting or carrying of objects up to 35 lbs.
    • Ability to wear a face mask throughout duration of shift.
