Job Description
ProFusion Industries, a highly regarded provider of transit step treads and transit flooring, custom specialty film products and protective linings is seeking a PAYROLL COORDINATOR at its ISO 9000 certified Marietta, Ohio manufacturing facility. This position reports to the Human Resources Director.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Payroll Coordinator is an integral member of the Human Resources team and works closely with Accounting and Finance personnel to ensure accurate payroll and related accounting duties are performed in strict adherence to the highest business standards, ethical conduct, and confidentiality.
JOB DUTIES:
Enter time sheets, review discrepancies, and review discrepancies with employees.
Process hourly and salary payroll.
Upload hourly and salary 401k deductions and employer match to the proper 401k funding sites.
Process employee wellness, safety shoes and safety glasses reimbursements.
Support Accounting, HR, and management with reporting employee hours, labor costs, and efficiencies on a monthly and weekly basis.
Enter and track maintenance time sheets into Microsoft Excel report on maintenance machine hours and production efficiencies monthly.
Update employee records and terminate and set up new employee records in payroll system.
Set up holiday schedule for the year, adding paid holidays to payroll system.
Review taxes quarterly and yearly for end of year process.
Add child support and other garnishments to employee profiles; calculate and review garnishments for withholding.
Enter and keep track of vacations, FMLA time, and sick and accident pay.
Disburse and reconcile petty cash.
Update benefit information in payroll system to get correct formulations for benefits in benefits management.
Help employees with any problems with payroll system, that include benefit problems or 401k problems through payroll system.
Keep track of deductions not taken for employees that are off without pay and adjusting deductions when they are back to work.
Assist in gathering information for audits, e.g., 401k and Payroll audits.
Review and adjust tax formulation issues or new tax rates that may arise.
Update employee pay rates, including raises or bonuses to salary employees.
Assign roles for employees in payroll system including work assignments and managers to whom they report.
Assort paychecks by department and distribute paychecks.
Assume other responsibilities and perform other related duties as needed.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or other related field or equivalent experience preferred.
Minimum three (3) years’ relevant payroll experience.
Excellent computer skills; proficiency with MS Excel, HRIS and Payroll software.
Ability to communicate effectively, written and verbally, with all levels in the organization.
Ability to work cross-functionally with individuals and teams.
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
