    GENERAL SUMMARY

    The Administrator ensures quality and safe delivery of home health care services; coordinates services that reflect the Agency’s mission, values, and standards of care plans; plans, develops, implements and evaluates Agency’s services, programs and activities and is responsible for all the day-to-day operations of the agency. This position also offers a competitive Bonus Structure for reaching organizational goals.

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Included but not limited to):

    Organizes and directs the Agency’s ongoing liaison among the Governing Body and staff.

    Employs qualified personnel and ensures adequate staff education and evaluations.

    Ensures accuracy of public information materials and activities.

    Implements an effective budgeting and accounting system; assures accuracy for billing procedures.

    Share mission, values, with all employees.

    Knowledgeable of State, Federal, local rules and regulations. Title XXII standards and accreditation regulations for the delivery of home health services.

    Consistently follows Agency policies, procedures to set an example for employees.

    Reviews agency manuals annually once per year for completeness and compliance.

    Documents all employee problems in personnel files.

    Disciplines employee problems in personnel files.

    Monitors budget hours and does not exceed allowance each year.

    Evaluates the effectiveness and efficiency of the Agency.

    Uses statistical data to determine quality and quantity of services.

    Maintains compliance with applicable laws, federal, state and accreditation bodies and local rules and regulations

    Fiscal planning, budgeting and management.

    Ensures staff development including orientation, in-services education and continuing education.

    Assures appropriate staff supervision during all operating hours.

    Appoints a similarly qualified alternate to be available at all times during operating hours in the absence of the Administrator.

    Directs and monitors organizational Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement activities.

    EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

    Preferred: Registered Professional Nurse , a graduate of an approved school of professional nursing who is currently licensed as a registered nurse in the state of agency operation.

    Preferred: Two(2) years experience as a RN with (2) two years in community health/home health program and maintain CPR certification while employed in a clinical role.

    If no experience as a Registered Nurse, at least 5 years of experience in the Home Health industry in Quality Improvement, Sales, or Administration.

    Prior use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) preferred.

    Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured and in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and in good working order.

    SKILLS and ABILITIES:

    In-depth understanding of Medicare Conditions of Participation and payment mechanisms for home health.

    Strong organizational, planning, problem solving, decision-making and leadership skills required.

    Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with people who have varied backgrounds.

    Ability to direct and manage a multi-disciplinary team of home health care clinicians, both professional and para - professional.

    Computer skills and ability to use word processing database, spreadsheet, applications, etc. preferred.
