PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Understands and adheres to established Agency policies and Procedures
Understands and promotes principles of continuous performance improvement
Responsible for Orientation of new staff into Agency's QAPI program
Assists in the planning and consultative needs of the staff
Assists in the preparation and implementation of policies and procedures which meet Medicare, Medicaid, Accrediting Body, State, and Local laws
Observes confidentiality and safeguards all patient related information
Accepts responsibility for regular attendance and punctuality
Investigates and reports any problem related to patient care and/or employee wellbeing
Immediately reports and accident/incident, lost articles or unusual occurrence to the DPCS
Assists in the development process improvement activities with appropriate data collection, aggregation, analysis, taking action and reporting results according to Agency's QAPI plan
Reviews patient medical records for compliance with federal, state, accrediting bodies, local and Agency policies and guidelines
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Patient Care Services
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and LICENSES:
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing and currently licensed in the State of California as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Three to Five years of health care experience, preferred
One (1) year experience in home care preferred
Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgement
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Advanced knowledge of medical terminology
Excellent Communication skills; ability to be flexible and work well with others.
Ability to prioritize and multitask.
Ability to maintain confidential information.
