OVERVIEW: This is a once in a lifetime opportunity! We are looking for a garage door repair and installation expert for a new company location in West Des Moines, IA. We are willing to provide technical product training for all qualified applicants. We are looking for a driven, experienced, and career-minded individual looking to take charge of their success. As a garage door lead technician, you will travel in a company truck to a customer’s homes or business to diagnose their garage door issues. You will build and present quotes to repair and/or replace the doors and complete the repairs during that visit or return at a later scheduled date. Technicians must be able to manage their time and workflow efficiently. They will also be responsible for their truck and inventory. Annual salary potential of $50-70k with our top technicians earning much more.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Garage Door Installation/Repair Experience is a MUST (2+ years)
REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to communicate clearly (spoken & written)
Comfortable with face-to-face customer interaction
Sales & customer service acumen
Great listening skills
Ability to troubleshoot and think independently
Clean, organized and methodical work ethic
Ability to work independently without oversight
Ability to work outside in all weather and climb ladders
Ability to read and understand directions and instructions
Strong understanding of basic computer technology
Complete jobs on time with outstanding craftsmanship
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Install and/or repair garage doors, openers and associated components
Assist in the training of new technicians and installers as needed
Responsible for the safe driving of company vehicles
Responsible in maintaining a safe work site, equipment, and truck
Assists with customer service issues
Review work orders for accuracy and completeness before departing the job site
Comfortable with networking and talking with new and potential customers
Work on-call for emergency situations as needed
Other duties as assigned
OTHER:
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
