    Job Description

    CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER

    WAREHOUSE/CROSS-DOCK/SUPPLY CHAIN CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER NEEDED AT LARGE OAKLAND TRANSPORTATION/INTERMODAL COMPANY

    OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:

    The responsibilities include overall daily operational responsibility for communications with our warehouse/cross-dock customers, managing all customer reporting, hiring, training and developing talent, managing billing/invoicing, and claims processing.

    -Manage and supervise the warehouse/cross-dock operations customer service team including Customer Service supervisor, customer service clerks, claims clerks and vessel planners.

    -Hire, train and develop customer service team staff.

    -Responsible for all customer communications in the warehouse/cross-dock.

    -Responsible for supervising the creation of custom reports.

    -Managing the invoicing process.

    -Perform yearly reviews and performance evaluations.

    ABOUT YOU:

    -Extensive warehouse/cross-dock leadership experience.

    -Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    -Proficient in Warehouse Management Systems.

    -Demonstrated leadership skills.

    -Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.

    -Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.

    -Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

    -Acute attention to detail.

    -Ability to lead a team of diverse individuals while maintaining the highest levels of professionalism.

    -Experience in training others.

    -Excel and Microsoft office abilities.

    -Strong follow-through.

    -Demonstrated ability to listen to employees.
