• Ability to read, comprehend, and perform to metric dimensioning of complex part drawings
• Set-up a machining tasks and produce quality precision parts efficiently
• Ability to inspect close tolerance part features using gage blocks, indicators, bore gage, and micrometers
• Working knowledge and experience with GD&T on drawings
• Understand fixture set-ups and ability to create fixtures as needed
• Ability to operate and input data into PC computer
• Experience in machining various materials i.e., aluminum, steel, stainless steel, tool steel, engineered plastics
• Ability to contribute to driving process improvements and perform in a team environment

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR?

• 2 years of recent history setting up and operating manual mills in a machine shop environment

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• 5 years of recent experience setting up and operating manual mills
• 2 years of CNC mill experience – basic set-up and operation (HAAS 3-axis)
• 1 year of experience operating manual lathes
• 1 year of experience operating semi-automated or manual flat surface grinders
• High School Diploma or GED, Associate Degree, trade school training or apprenticeship program in a mechanical discipline or tool and die making.
