    ProMach- Roberts PolyPro Inc. is seeking a talented Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Technician, for second shift, to analyze and correct production machines which require the knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and mechanical principles in accordance with production specifications and quality standards. In addition this job will also assist in maintaining the Plant’s electrical systems to provide power for machines, equipment, lighting, and other electrical applications.

    • Read and interpret electrical, mechanical and hydraulic schematic drawings, engineering prints/specifications and/or manufacturing manuals, and/or verbal/written instructions.
    • Install and maintain the Plant’s electrical system to provide power for machines, equipment, lighting and other electrical applications in accordance with engineering specifications, codes, regulations and safety requirements.
    • Diagnose, isolate, and correct electrical, mechanical and hydraulic problems which include replacement and adjustment of components, integral units, motors, controls, switches, standard devices, valves and gear.
    • Utilize appropriate test instruments, gear and equipment to test and insure compatibility and safety of all circuits, components, switches, controls, etc., to assure correct performance, quality and operation.
    • Strictly follows all safety requirements for ladder usage, hand and power tool operation, forklift and hoist operation, and housekeeping.
    • Ability to climb in overhead structures, beneath machine and in close quarters while performing analysis and repair work.
    • Working knowledge of AC and DC control circuits, including single and 3 phase motor controls.
    • Perform installation, start-up and repair services for production machinery.
    • This position will be on 3rd shift and will work independently.

     

    REQUIREMENTS: 

    • Vocational or high school graduate plus an accredited apprenticeship or equivalent appropriate training required
    • Broad knowledge of recognized trade or craft techniques and applications, electrical, mechanical and hydraulic principles
    • Excellent trouble shooting abilities
    • Good mental and visual abilities, with good dexterity and high attention to detail
    • Working knowledge of AC & DC control circuits, including single and three-phase motor controls
    • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
    • Familiarity with VFD Motor Controllers and PLCs
    • Ability to perform electrical testing and troubleshooting
    • Good math skills which includes knowledge of fraction principles
    • Good interpersonal skills and ability to successfully handle a multi-tasked role
    • Regular attendance and daily punctuality are necessary for performing the job.
    • Good organizational skills
    • Ability to work night shift after training
