    Job Description

    The Pharmacovigilance Manager, Client Services will be responsible for managing members of Client Services to facilitate the successful outsourcing of Medical Information (MI) and Pharmacovigilance (PV) services. In regard to Client Management capabilities, they will be required to develop client relationships and identify process improvement to elevate the existing level of service for clients while preparing ProPharma Group for planned future growth. 

    Essential Functions Include:

    • Managing and developing a team providing industry leading services to facilitate the outsourcing of MI and PV services.
    • Responsible for the successful set-up of contracts and services.
    • Develop and demonstrate excellent working relationships with clients and internal customers.
    • Responsible for ensuring the adherence to SOPs and processes within Client Management.
    • Support the Client Management organisation in the appropriate phases of the Business Development process. 
    • Take responsibility for managing the lifecycle of contracts after initial contract.
    • Ensure workload is managed appropriately within the department and that client specific metrics are monitored and met.
    • Ensure continuous identification and implementation of best practice and efficiencies to support the evolution of services.
    • Maintain awareness of company processes and industry regulations.
    • Actively participate in the strategic planning process, assist with overall oversight of the business, and help establish and safeguard the culture.
    • Help grow the business with a focus on existing clients.
    • Day to day planning to ensure the continuity of service, staffing, succession planning and development of staff through mentoring and coaching
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Qualified candidates must have:

    • BSc Degree Required
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience and track record of success within contract or project management in a medical information/pharmacovigilance/pharmaceutical or related environment (health care environment preferred).
    • Previous management experience.
    • Sound knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and medical information.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Sound planning, prioritising and organisational skills; showing an effective workload management system and meeting deadlines.
    • Ability to anticipate issues, develop and offer solutions to minimise disruptions.
    • Ability to organise and prioritise in quickly changing environment within resource constraints.
    • Receptive to constructive feedback and resolving conflict in a constructive manner.
    • Self-motivated and ability to motivate others.
    • Ability to demonstrate initiative and internal drive. 
    • Willingness to seek out additional workload projects.
    • Enthusiasm and attitude to operate effectively within an environment that recognises and maximises the commercial opportunities without compromising medical information professionalism, scientific rigor and medical ethics.
    • Effectively work independently and as part of a team.
    • People management and supervisory experience.

    Additional information

    This position may include the requirement for occasional travel to client offices.
