Job Description
Ultimately, you’ll reassure parents that, even when they’re not around, their children remain in a safe and pleasant environment. One parent typically home by 07:00 PM Eastern Daily and at least once per month we go to the theater (typically a weekday) so working late till approx. 10:00 PM Eastern - weekends maybe but rarely. One Pet Fish and a puppy promised. Standard work schedule shall/can/will be MONDAY thru FRIDAY 12:00 NOON PM Eastern – 07:00 PM Eastern.
Compensation & Performance: Employee’s Regular Weekly compensation will be based on a standard thirty (30) to thirty-five (35) hours per week. In some cases, the standard work hours shall be amended to accommodate the closed or out of session school days to a standard eight (08) hours. The employee will be paid weekly on Thursdays or Fridays (depending which day is the end of the work week) by Bank Check with appropriate Federal/State Deductions made through accommodations for IRS Tax Withholding.
NANNY/CAREGIVER RESPONSIBILITIES: For providing safe/nurturing care to 2 children - Boys: 9 Yrs. Old and 6 Yrs. Old. Parents employ them either on a live-out basis. The Nanny/Caregiver will have full-time work - thirty (30) to thirty-five (35) hours per week. There is no set of specific academic requirements to be a Full-Time Nanny/Caregiver.
PAID VACATION/LEAVE: Work-life balance is important and this job also provides paid vacations and up to 2-3 days sick leave annually. Also for periods where the family is on vacation but the nanny is available to work, the nanny shall still receive their regular weekly salary. The Nanny/Caregiver is not required to travel with the family but may be asked to accompany family on out of town/country travels so a passport may be necessary.
Formal training would be preferred but can be superseded by or extensive experience – a good recommendation is that candidates have work experience as babysitters or had worked for a daycare center, or in early childhood education. Other useful points for this area is having a high school graduate or college degree, experience or training in CPR and first aid programs, no criminal record, a clean driving license, and a reliable vehicle. NANNY DUTIES INCLUDE: Nanny/Caregiver duties and related pick up/drop off, cleaning and cooking tasks, preparing meals, study/homework assistance, hygiene, manners, and childhood development activities (manners, respect for self and others, integrity, empathy, ethics, hard work, sustainable futures) help children.
