ProSidian Seeks a Health Communications Specialist (HCS) - Communications Specialist | Counterintelligence and Insider Threat headquartered near Washington DC Area to support an engagement for Gov't. - Federal (USA) Sector Clients a federal Cabinet-level agency that provides near-comprehensive healthcare services to eligible military veterans at VA medical centers and outpatient clinics located throughout the country; several non-healthcare benefits including disability compensation, vocational rehabilitation, education assistance, home loans, and life insurance; and provides burial and memorial benefits to eligible veterans and family members at 135 national cemeteries. The Veterans Health Administration is America’s largest integrated health care system, providing care at 1,255 health care facilities, including 170 medical centers and 1,074 outpatient sites of care of varying complexity (VHA outpatient clinics), serving 9 million enrolled Veterans each year.

The ProSidian Health Communications Specialist (HCS) works with Counterintelligence Analysts (CA) and Health Education Specialists (HES) to develop a communications strategy to convey risks to technology development to researchers, both intramural and extramural. The HCS, in conjunction with travel team, develops outreach programs and associated documents, aids, and other educational tools for sharing with academia regarding vetting methods, risks, and implementation of mitigation strategies.

Qualifications
The Health Communications Specialist (HCS) - Communications Specialist | Counterintelligence and Insider Threat shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position. Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. All employees, in the performance of their respective responsibilities, shall conduct themselves in the highest possible standards of ethical and business conduct. The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.
TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: ProSidian Counterintelligence and Insider Threat Professionals shall be technically proficient in the skills necessary to fulfill the government’s requirements, including the ability to speak, understand, read and write English fluently. Our Professionals will provide documents as needed to verify current and ongoing competency, skills, certification and/or licensure related to the provision of care, treatment and/or services performed.
The Health Communications Specialist (HCS) should possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in a related field of expertise and at least two (2) years of experience in communications relative to healthcare including research. The HCS must have a clear understanding of the academic research community and culture. The HCS must have excellent communications (verbal, written, and presentation), interpersonal, coordination and organization skills, and be proficient in word processing and spreadsheet and presentation development.
TRAVEL: Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings, events, site visits, or other training requirements. Travel is coordinated with the technical point of contact and approved in writing by the Contracting Officer in advance, is allowed, in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations.
