    Job Description

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Accounting Implementation Specialist provides critical support to the Pro Software operations team via business knowledge regarding accounting systems and practices. This individual will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the accounting functional areas. Primary duties include developing a relationship with the customer and documenting the customer’s current accounting processes to give guidance to the implementation team. This position will be responsible for handling client questions regarding the software’s accounting functionality and how that interfaces with the client’s accounting systems. The Accounting Implementation Specialist will be a key advocate for customer success, support and translating client accounting needs into PSR (product specifications) for Pro Software enhancements. This position reports to the Program Manager.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Document and map customer accounting processes and third-party integrations and identifies areas of opportunity for increased client satisfaction (either during sales or implementation process)
    • Share knowledge of accounting practices and processes with the client and the internal team.
    • Configure Pro Software accounting functionality to work for customer.
    • Prepare implementation scope documents to hand off to the rest of the implementation team.
    • Provide insight to and support of the customer throughout the full project lifecycle (Sales-implementation-support).
    • Act as liaison between the client and the business and effectively communicate client needs related to software accounting functionality and performance.
    • Identify future development needs based on client accounting processes and provides development team with design documentation for client-specific development.
    • Review, analyze, and evaluate business needs and work with technical resources to design effective, simple, and creative automation solutions.
    • Prepare and conduct user training regarding accounting functionality.
    • Support ticket resolution.

    KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:

    • 5+ years’ Accounting experience required.
    • Implementation experience with accounting software required.
    • Advanced knowledge of accounting software and practices required.
    • Business process or Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and consulting experience.
    • Technical understanding of accounting interfaces and data conversion.
    • Team player with strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to acquire an in-depth understanding of both Pro Software and the PEO business.
    • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
    • Ability to present ideas effectively, either orally or in writing.
    • Plan and complete assignments within deadlines.
    • Experience with Microsoft project preferred.
    • PMP certification or equivalent a plus.
