We are seeking an experienced Paralegal with a strong background in Probate, Trust Administration, and Guardianship to join our Fort Myers office. This is a senior, ownership-driven role designed for someone who can independently manage cases from start to finish.
This position is ideal for a steady, detail-oriented professional who values accountability, follow-through, and long-term case management in emotionally complex matters. This is not a training or entry-level role.
Key Responsibilities
Probate & Trust Administration
Draft and file probate and estate administration pleadings
Prepare asset inventories and fiduciary accountings
Coordinate asset transfers, retitling, and beneficiary distributions
Guardianship
Prepare and file petitions for appointment of guardian (Person and Property)
Assist with Initial, Annual, and Final Guardian Reports and Accountings
Monitor court deadlines, compliance requirements, and hearing schedules
Coordinate service of process and communications with court-appointed professionals
Client & Case Management
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and families
Maintain organized, accurate case files and documentation
Communicate with attorneys, courts, financial institutions, and third parties
Ensure deadlines, follow-ups, and compliance requirements are consistently met
Qualifications
2+ years of hands-on experience in Probate, Trust Administration, and Guardianship
Familiarity with Florida court filings, deadlines, and procedures
Experience with fiduciary accounting, including bank reconciliations and court-mandated accountings
Ability to manage cases independently with minimal supervision
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Professional, compassionate communication skills for emotionally sensitive matters
Proficiency with legal software and Microsoft Office (Clio experience a plus)
