As a Probate and/or Medicaid Paralegal, you will play a critical role in supporting clients through long-term care planning, estate planning, and estate administration. Working closely with attorneys, financial professionals, and care providers, you will help ensure legal processes are handled with accuracy, efficiency, and compassion. Compensation & Benefits • Hourly rate: $20 – $24 , commensurate with experience and qualifications • $1,000 signing bonus for qualified candidates • Health insurance • Paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave • Paid maternity leave • Life insurance • Annual professional development budget • Monthly team lunches • Private office with free on-site parking Responsibilities: Estate Paralegal and Medicaid Advocate/Paralegal Responsibilities Include (but Are Not Limited To): • Prepare and organize estate planning documents for attorney review and client signing • Guide clients through the estate plan and financial document execution process • Conduct intake meetings with prospective clients and families • Draft and file Medicaid applications and gather supporting documentation • Communicate with caseworkers, long-term care facilities, and financial institutions • Coordinate with attorneys and financial advisors to ensure thorough and accurate plan implementation • Maintain a large docket of active cases with strong follow-up and deadline management • Provide professional, timely communication with clients throughout the process • Assist with phone coverage, maintain confidential file systems, and support day-to-day office operations Qualifications: • Minimum 3 years of experience as a paralegal in a law firm setting, preferably in estate planning, elder law, probate, or Medicaid • Completion of an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred • Preference given to candidates with advanced paralegal education or certification • Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and a high level of compassion when working with clients • Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and organizational abilities • Strong writing and grammar skills Compensation: $20 - $24 hourly commensurate with experience & qualifications
