We're looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and experienced paralegal to play an important role on our legal team. As a Probate Paralegal, you’ll oversee cases from filing through closing, track deadlines, draft documents, and make sure clients feel informed and supported throughout the process. Your expertise and proactive approach will help clients, support our attorneys, and keep our practice running smoothly. Our firm is a collaborative, team-oriented estate planning and probate practice in North Central San Antonio. Responsibilities: Case Management & Ownership (60%) • Manage probate matters from filing through closing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness • Draft applications, deeds, e-file Affidavits, and related documents • Track deadlines, hearings, and filings proactively • Prepare documents for court submission and maintain compliance with local legal filing procedures • Communicate directly with clients while keeping attorneys informed • Ensure cases are closed completely and efficiently Coordination & Administrative Support (40%) • Maintain organized electronic and physical case files • Draft correspondence and prepare documents for signature and distribution • Witness/notarize documents and manage certified mail • Assist attorneys with probate-related needs while maintaining attention to detail Qualifications: Required • Bachelor’s degree. • Strong organization, communication, and time-management skills. • Comfortable using legal and case management software; quick to learn new technology. Preferred • 3+ years paralegal experience , providing substantive case support (not just administrative tasks). • Paralegal certificate (ABA-approved or equivalent). • TBLS Board Certified Paralegals in Estate Planning and Probate • Experience in estate planning, probate, drafting Trusts/Wills. • Familiarity with Westlaw, CLIO, or similar platforms. • Active notary status a plus. Compensation: $23 - $30 hourly
