Process Control Manager
Location: Greater Madison, WI area
Compensation: $125,000 - $145,000
A dairy product manufacturer in southern Wisconsin is hiring a Process Control Manager to improve consistency, efficiency, and process discipline across plant operations.
This role is a fit for someone who can own process control strategy, work cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, quality, and engineering, and drive measurable improvement in a regulated manufacturing environment. Dairy or cheese experience will carry real weight.
What you’ll do
- Lead process control and standardization efforts across production
- Monitor plant performance, identify variation, and drive corrective action
- Partner with QA, operations, maintenance, and engineering on process issues
- Support validation, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement work
- Help strengthen compliance with food safety and quality standards
- Train and mentor plant teams on process discipline and best practices
What we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, or a related field
- 5+ years in process control, operations, or quality within food manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, FSMA, and process improvement tools
- Experience with automation, SPC, and manufacturing systems such as ERP or MES
- Dairy or cheese manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- Onsite leadership presence in a plant environment
This is not a passive reporting role. It needs someone who can see process problems early, work across functions, and improve how the plant runs.
