PURPOSE: To provide process engineering expertise for die attach, wire bond, fiber splicing and optical packaging processes supporting new customer accounts in the Advanced Packaging area at Fabrinet West.

Job Description:

• Perform optical fiber splicing and fiber routing, ensuring precision in fiber length and compliance with customer optical parameter specifications.
• Execute edge coupling active alignment processes, optimizing coupling loss performance and cycle time.
• Collaborate with customers and cross-functional team members to support project objectives and milestones.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to optical module assembly and performance.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for optical assemblies and process characterization.
• Develop and maintain work instructions, process flows, and production-related documentation.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and support equipment qualification activities.

Top 3 Skills:

• Proficiency in optical fiber splicing, including ribbon fiber splicing techniques
• Hands-on experience with active alignment and edge coupling processes
• Working knowledge of optical test and measurement equipment, including OBR and fusion splicers

Education or Training: · BS degree required in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Optical Engineering, or Physics.
