Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering preferred or Associates degree in a technical field with 3-5 years of manufacturing experience or HS diploma or equivalency and 6-8 years of manufacturing experience
- Working knowledge and understanding of the basic principles, theories, concepts, and practices in the applicable area of engineering/technical specialization
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Proficient on Microsoft Office Suite
- Commitment to excellence and high standards
- Creative, flexible, and innovative team player
Preferred Requirements
- Strong background in process development preferred (new product introduction, establishing/improving manufacturing processes)
- Working knowledge of Minitab, MATLAB, AutoCAD, CAD/CAE software preferred
- Six Sigma and Theory of Constraint knowledge preferred
- Project management experience preferred
- Process mapping, SOP creation experience preffered
** Physical Requirements**
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
- Occasionally lift and move a minimum of 20 pounds without assistance
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about facilities
** Work Environment**
- Work time is spent in both an office setting and warehouse environment where temperatures are often warm or cool, depending upon the season, and noise level can be moderate to high
