    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and apply key problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve basic-to-complex issues in critical production processes, helping the company run more efficiently.
    • Perform engineering analysis and testing of new product designs, assembly and test processes
    • Develop tools, jigs and fixtures for test and assembly of our ground-breaking arrhythmia catheters
    • Create preliminary sketches of design concepts
    • Create technical 2D drawings for mechanical components per ASME Y14.5 or electrical schematics per IEEE
    • Perform measurements and analysis, build engineering samples, develop and complete engineering testing
    • Design DOEs, write test protocols (e.g., characterization, benchtop, V&V, pre-clinical), implement testing and generate engineering test reports
    • Support technical reviews (design reviews, technical assessments)
    • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
    • Identifies, designs and develops vital equipment related to new product assembly and testing process
    • Performs equipment verification and validation
    • Studies the existing processes to implement improvements on new products
    • Responsible for creating and establishing equipment specifications
    • Assists technicians and engineers about unusual problems to find root cause and a mitigation to the problem
    • Responsible for procuring and designing equipment that meets safety and environment requirements
    • Performs activities of process/product validation
    • Performs statistical analysis using Minitab or similar software
    • Can supervise, coordinate, and technically revise the work of a limited group of technicians.
    • Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition
    • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
    • Carries out ad-hoc tasks as the need arises

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • A minimum of Bachelor’s degree is required in the fields of: Engineering, Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering are preferred

    Experience and Skills:

    Required:

    • Ability to participate in a technical team.
    • Knowledge of computer programs.
    • Knowledge in statistics.
    • Knowledge in physics and electricity.
    • Experience in writing technical test and validation reports.

    Preferred:

    • Knowledge of good manufacturing practices and documentation, preferably in the medical industry.
    • Proficiency in the creation and interpretation of 2-D technical drawings using ASME Y14.5 and IEEE standards.
    • Preferably knowledge or experience in the medical industry
    • Ability to PLC programming such as Rs Logix, CCW will be considered a plus
    • Ability to output electrical diagrams will be considered a plus
    • Ability to use CAD software such as SolidWorks will be considered a plus
    • Ability to perform statistical analyses

    Additional Information:

    • The anticipated base pay range for this position is $50,000 to $70,000
    • This position is overtime eligible
    • Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
      • Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year
      • Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year
      • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year
      • Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
