    Process Engineer
    Osseo, MN | Direct-Hire | $100,000-$120,000 (Flexible) | Onsite

    We are seeking a driven and technically proficient Process Engineer to lead the execution of customized water treatment equipment projects from kickoff through field commissioning. This role involves high levels of collaboration with internal teams, external contractors, and client representatives and will focus on designing system layouts.

    Process Engineer Responsibilities

    • Take ownership of process design for advanced water treatment systems, including system layout development, P&ID schematics, and skid-based assembly diagrams.
    • Generate detailed equipment specifications and supporting documentation for client approval, fabrication partners, and commissioning teams.
    • Interpret general arrangement (GA) drawings and supervise field contractors to ensure alignment with engineering intent.
    • Travel to customer locations frequently (up to 80% of the time, sometimes more), including support during installation and start-up phases.
    • Support ad-hoc engineering tasks or project assignments as directed by senior leadership.

    Process Engineer Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil Engineering, or closely related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
    • 5–8 years of experience in process design or engineering within the water treatment or fluid systems industry.
    • Deep understanding of ultra-pure water technologies such as reverse osmosis, membrane degassing, ultrafiltration, and ion exchange systems.
    • Strong working knowledge of pump systems and piping networks, including materials such as stainless steel, PVC, PP, and PVDF.

    Physical & Environmental Requirements

    • Comfortable climbing ladders, scaffolds, and navigating industrial workspaces using hands and feet.
    • Ability to extend arms overhead, push and pull materials, and maintain physical activity including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
    • Must be able to function effectively in environments exceeding 100°F for durations exceeding one hour.
    • Capable of safely operating in construction or fabrication settings, ensuring hands-on contributions where needed.
