Process Engineer - Plastics Manufacturing - Base Salary to 95k/year - Chicago, IL

• Our client, a leading plastic blow molding and injection molding company, is seeking a Process Engineer to join their team as a hands-on, leader & expert regarding the process, machinery and quality.
• In this role, the Process Engineer will be responsible for setting up, adjusting machines and making process improvements throughout production.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for a line or several lines of blow molding and/or injection molding machines
• Frequently inspect quality and look for product deviations in weight, sidewall, flash, distribution, concavity, convexity or crooked sections
• Make adjustments on machines as necessary
• Perform Preventative Maintenance on Machines
• Unjam conveyor systems
• Develop streamlined processes to increase production and improve quality
• Present process improvement suggestions to management and manage implementation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
• 10+ Years of Experience in Manufacturing Operations
• Strong communications skills
• Mechanically Inclined
• Experience with Plastics Manufacturing Equipment is a must
• Experience with Plastics Processing- Injection Molding, Blow Molding, Thermoforming or Extrusion

Compensation for this role includes a base salary up to 95k/year. Our client also offers traditional health benefits & 401k program.
