    Title: Process Engineer

    Salary: $90-100,000

     

    Process Engineer Role:

    As the Process Engineer, you will drive operational excellence at our client's air filter manufacturing facility. The Process Engineer will be responsible for optimizing processes by implementing Lean Manufacturing principles and leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, cost, and delivery.

    Process Engineer Responsibilities:

    • Lead and support Lean Manufacturing initiatives to drive efficiency, waste reduction, and cost savings

    • Facilitate Kaizen and continuous improvement events, ensuring cross-functional participation

    • Design, implement, and manage Kanban systems to optimize material flow and inventory management

    • Conduct time studies, process mapping, and root cause analysis to identify bottlenecks

    • Develop, monitor, and report on key process performance indicators (KPIs)

    • Manage process improvement and capital projects from conception through execution

    • Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to improve safety, product quality, and throughput

    • Champion change management practices to ensure successful adoption of new processes and technologies

    • Provide training, guidance, and coaching to operators and supervisors on Lean tools and best practices

    • Support compliance with company standards and industry regulations

    • Be a strong advocate for safe practices and procedures throughout the facility

    Process Engineer Reporting Relationships: This position reports to the Plant Manager or Director of Operations. This role does not have any direct reports.

    About You:

    • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field

    • Have a minimum of 3-5 years of process engineering or manufacturing engineering experience in a light manufacturing environment

    • Demonstrate success in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen facilitation, and Kanban system implementation

    • Bring a strong background in process improvement and project management

    • Have change management experience in production or operations settings

    • Show proficiency with Lean and Six Sigma tools such as 5S, Value Stream Mapping, PDCA, and DMAIC

    • Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset

    • Exhibit excellent project management and organizational skills

    • Possess effective communication and team facilitation skills

    • Maintain proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and statistical analysis software

    • Embody a continuous improvement mindset and a results orientation

    • Have filtration or related industry experience preferred but not required
