Process Engineer – Water Treatment & R&D Location: Midland/West Texas Salary: $110,000–$130,000 + 10% Bonus

An innovative industrial water organization is seeking a Process Engineer to support process optimization, engineering and R&D initiatives involving advanced water-treatment operations.

Responsibilities

Lead process optimization initiatives

Analyze plant and laboratory operating data

Develop process models, mass balances and performance calculations

Identify opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce operating costs

Evaluate water-treatment and emerging technologies

Support engineering/design for R&D initiatives

Coordinate pilot programs, field trials and proof-of-concept testing

Develop technical evaluations and business cases

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Process, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline

5+ years of relevant industrial process-engineering experience

Experience in water treatment, chemical processing, desalination, refrigeration or similar industrial environments

Strong chemistry/thermodynamics, analytical and troubleshooting skills

Ability to work in plant and field environments

Travel: This is a hands-on position requiring regular travel to a West Texas operating facility, generally 3–4 days per week. Company transportation, fuel and lodging support are available.
