    Process Team Leader – Water & Wastewater | Greenville, SC

    Our client, a nationally recognized engineering consulting firm, is seeking a Process Team Leader to join and lead its Water Design Center in Greenville, South Carolina. This is an exceptional opportunity for a senior-level process engineer to oversee and guide municipal water and wastewater treatment design projects across the firm’s growing regional and national footprint.

    This leadership role is ideal for a candidate who thrives in a collaborative, technical, and fast-paced environment, and is ready to take ownership of a dedicated process team supporting complex, high-value treatment plant projects.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the process design for water and wastewater treatment systems, including:

      • Process evaluation and selection

      • Hydraulic analysis

      • Conceptual and detailed process layouts

      • Equipment selection and sizing

    • Develop and validate design criteria using process modeling software

    • Create and review contract documents, including drawings and technical specifications

    • Collaborate with internal multidisciplinary teams, regional offices, and regulatory/funding agencies

    • Support business development efforts, including scope development, proposal writing, and project costing

    • Lead and manage project schedules, budgets, and quality control processes

    • Mentor and guide a team of process engineers and designers

    • Represent the firm in meetings, conferences, and site visits, including occasional travel for client presentations and field assessments

    Required Qualifications:

    • Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or a related engineering field from an ABET-accredited program

    • Professional Engineer (PE) license

    • 10+ years of direct municipal water/wastewater design experience

    • Minimum 2 years of experience leading project teams

    • Proficiency in process modeling software such as:

      • Hydromantis GPS-X

      • Dynamita Sumo

      • EnviroSim BioWin

    • Demonstrated expertise in:

      • Process equipment evaluation and cost estimating

      • Treatment plant hydraulics and process layouts

      • Development of plans, specifications, and technical documentation

    • Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal communication skills

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 15+ years of municipal water/wastewater process design experience

    • 5+ years of experience managing multidisciplinary project teams

    • PE licensure in multiple states, including SC, NC, GA, AL

    • Established relationships with municipal clients in the Southeastern U.S.

    • Active involvement in professional organizations such as AWWA, WEF, or WRF
